Playground Surfacing

Playground Surfacing Material

While children cannot be stopped from the occasional fall when climbing or running in the school or park playground, parents can be sure their children's falls are cushioned by the highest quality surfacing material, our Australian Standards playground surfacing. To comply with the guidelines for playground surfacing requirements, our product has been tested for critical fall height. Pinegro Products is the first company in Australia to achieve the Australian Standards mark for playground surfacing.

In the past, a major concern for consumers has been hazardous sharp materials contaminating playground surfacing. This important safety issue has been addressed with Pinegro's playground surfacing passing all testing requirements for sharpness and abrasiveness. Every purchase intended for playground use is required, as part of the Standards mark, to have product traceability and documentation. We also offer regular maintenance checks of playground surfacing to schools, government and council playgrounds to ensure a safe environment exists.

The Pinegro Playground pinebark has been specifically designed for playground surfacing and has attained the requirements for product certification under AS/NZS 4422. All Pinegro Material is susceptible to compaction and displacement which may result in the material becoming too shallow to provide the required impact attenuation. (safety depth) We recommend regular inspection to ensure correct depth (250mm - 300mm) is maintained.

Pinegro staff can assist with installation, maintenance and inspection requirements.
