- Use straight from the bag, preferably during the cool part of the day.
- Water the plant and allow it to drain before repotting.
- Select a clean container with adequate drainage holes.
- Partly fill the container with potting mix.
- Remove the plant from its existing pot and gently tease the outside of the root ball, removing damaged or dead roots.
- Position the plant in the new container, leaving up to 4cm below the rim for watering.
- Fill around the plant and press the mix gently but firmly.
- Water thoroughly after potting.
- Water frequently enough to keep the mix moist, but avoid overwatering.
- Reseal the bag after use to prevent the mix drying out.
- For best results, apply an organic all-purpose fertiliser in autumn and spring to support sustained growth and fruiting.
- Wear gloves and keep the mix damp while handling.
- Avoid breathing dust and wear a particulate mask if dusty.
- Avoid contact with eyes and skin and wash hands after use.
- Store in a cool location.
